Looking for relatives of EDWARD H. SHUMAN last known address by our family is Jordan Lake. Death records show he died in May 1985. As far as we know there was a son Eddie, Debra Jean, Geraldine (Cookie) and Sandy. We know that Cookie had at least two children, Nichole Angela and Michael Edward. The rest of the SHUMAN family lost touch when the family was living in Central Lake. Perhaps the daughters are still in Central Lake under a married name or perhaps they moved away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My maternal grandmother was Harriet Adelaide MAHAN MARTIN. Her husband, Cal Martin was a partner (for a while) with Charlie Mahan (her brother) in the drugstore on river street. I plan to be in the TC area in early June and hope to spend some time getting such things as deeds for the store, ERHSchool graduation records -- my mother and her sister and brother grad. from there in the 1905-1912 yrs. Nat Noble was a great friend and I hope to bring some old photos with me. However, when I was last there 5-6 yrs. ago there was little interest, the records in the back of the basement of the old building -- next to where Harriet lived, were not accessible and I was severely discouraged from trying to get any info. I hope this visit is more productive. When a small boy (1930s) mother and I would visit Nat Noble Marker Coy etc.etc. and Aunt Lizzie Grammel Mahan. Is there any chance of finding a warmer welcome? Thanks.
